ECCO FOUNDATION
ABOUT US
ECCO Foundation is a non-profit organization established in July 2021 in Lombok, Indonesia, focusing on youth empowerment in environmental issues through literacy, education, and real action.
ECCO serves as a collaborative platform for young people through various activities such as sustainability workshops, environmental debate competitions, school ecotourism development, village training programs, and international partnerships. In addition, ECCO encourages active youth participation in responding to public issues and bridges young people’s ideas and aspirations with policymakers and the government.
As its partnerships have grown, ECCO has expanded its role by integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its programs, including book publishing, art and education collaborations, and environmental awareness campaigns. These initiatives aim to reach a wider community while supporting important issues such as life on land and below water, climate action, and quality education.
To ensure that all projects are aligned with the SDGs and ECCO’s goals, the 5P Forum was established. This ECCO subunit consists of outstanding individuals, reliable managers, peacebuilders, and capable people who provide the expertise needed for program success. Every program is designed, implemented, and evaluated based on the 5P commitment, namely:
- Human well-being (PEOPLE)
- Planet protection (PLANET)
- Prosperity (or benefits) for humanity (PROSPERITY)
- Peace within society (PEACE)
- Partnerships to encourage the participation of all stakeholders (PARTNERSHIP)
