On July 4th 2026, English Club Lombok, in collaboration with BASAibu Wiki—NTB and ECCO Foundation, organized the Coloring Competition 2026 at the English Club Lombok Headquarters. The event was designed to provide children with a creative platform while promoting literacy and environmental awareness through an engaging and educational activity. The competition was open to children from kindergarten to elementary school and was divided into three categories: Junior (Kindergarten/Preschool), Regular (Grades 1–3), and Senior (Grades 4–6). Participants showcased their creativity by completing coloring artworks inspired by environmental themes, encouraging them to express their ideas while reflecting on the importance of protecting nature.
Beyond being a competition, the event aimed to nurture creativity, concentration, self-confidence, and artistic expression among children. It also demonstrated how creative activities can serve as an effective medium for introducing important values, including environmental responsibility, from an early age. The collaboration brought together the expertise of each partner organization. English Club Lombok facilitated the event and created a positive learning environment for participants. BASAibu Wiki—NTB supported the initiative by promoting community literacy, while ECCO Foundation strengthened the environmental message by encouraging children to develop a greater appreciation for nature and sustainable living through art.
Throughout the event, participants were given the opportunity to express their imagination freely while interacting with fellow children in a supportive and inspiring atmosphere. Their artworks reflected diverse perspectives and creative interpretations of the competition theme, highlighting the importance of encouraging children to communicate ideas through visual expression. This agenda demonstrates that education can take many forms beyond the classroom. By combining creativity, literacy, and environmental education, the event provided children with a meaningful learning experience while reinforcing the value of collaboration in building a more environmentally conscious and socially responsible generation.
