5P Youth Campus
An ASEAN Gathering for the Future We Want
From September 3 to 6, 2023, Desa Genggelang became the heart of an extraordinary ASEAN youth experience. The 5P Youth Campus brought together 40 young leaders from 11 nations for an immersive, multi-day program grounded in the five core SDG principles: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnership. Participants didn't just learn about sustainable development, they lived it, exploring four themed 5P Zones across the village, from the Village Office (Partnership) to Kampung Cokelat Senara (Planet & Prosperity), engaging in hands-on eco-tourism, ecoprint, chocolate-making, traditional cooking, and a visit to the village museum's ancient royal artifacts.
The program culminated in Jakarta, where 16 ASEAN youth representatives and the IDEA Choir attended the 5P Forum the platform on which the Global 5P Movement was officially launched, with ECCO Foundation presenting its Lombok-based work to the world.
Program Highlights:
- 40 youth from 11 ASEAN nations participated in the program
- Explored four 5P Zones: Village Office (Partnership), Hall (People), Museum (Peace), Kampung Cokelat Senara (Planet & Prosperity)
- Beach clean-up at Pantai Mutiara Gondang and sea turtle release for environmental conservation
- Hands-on activities: eco-tourism, ecoprint, chocolate-making, traditional urap bebele cooking, and village museum tour
- 16 ASEAN youth representatives and IDEA Choir traveled to Jakarta for the 5P Forum and Global 5P Movement launch
