ECCO IDEA Fest
Where Youth, Ideas, and Sustainability Converge
In 2021, ECCO Foundation brought to life its first flagship festival in Desa Genggelang, Lombok — a village chosen as the pilot site for ECCO's vision of sustainable community development. ECCO IDEA Fest was more than an event; it was a multi-format gathering that united youth, academics, and local stakeholders through ECCO Trips, hands-on workshops, webinars, and open seminars. The festival sparked meaningful conversations about sustainable living, eco-tourism, and the role young people can play in shaping their communities.
With international delegations and cross-sector collaboration at its core, IDEA Fest established Desa Genggelang as a living model, one that other villages across Indonesia can look to and replicate.
Program Highlights:
- Collaboration with Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa in the Public Expo on Sustainability
- Hosted a delegation from Lee Kwan Yew University, Singapore
- Established a replicable model for eco-tourism and sustainability education in rural villages
